BSc (Hons) Applied Sport, Health and Exercise (Top-up)

This one year top up programme builds on the Foundation Degree (FdSc) Sport Health and Exercise, to give you BSc (Hons) qualification.
All of City College Norwich’s Degree programmes are validated by the UEA, meaning that the quality of the awards you get is assured by a world renowned Higher Education organisation.
The programme will develop a wide variety of essential sports related knowledge and employability skills. The course is delivered in modules, which will cover issues relating to: -
- Sports events and entrepreneurship.
- Advanced fitness and training for sport.
- Physical activity and health promotion.
- Exercise for specific populations.
The programme is delivered through a mix of workshops, lectures, seminars, practical sessions, tutorials and self-directed study. You will be expected to build upon lectures and seminars using these as a learning platform, alongside group and peer discussion.

You will have completed a relevant Foundation Degree, or equivalent.
Applications from students whose first language is not English are welcome. For International students we require evidence of proficiency in English (including writing, speaking, listening and reading), the required minimum is: IELTS (SELT) 6.0 overall (minimum 5.5 in all components). Your work will be assessed thorough a mix of written assignments, both individually and as part of a group, portfolios, presentations, time constrained exercises, practical assessments, open and closed book exams and conventional essays.
Students may progress onto a number of routes including: • PGCE Physical education • MSc. Physiotherapy • MSc. Sports Science • MSc. Sports Performance • Other teaching degrees / routes to QTS • Postgraduate research degrees • Full-time employment and practice

Course fee per year: £7,500
Students will be required to purchase some sports kit, with the minimum requirement being to have at least two CCN Sports tops (Cost of around £15 each). Individual students may decide to purchase additional items of kit up to a cost of approximately £150.
