Summary

HR Professionals typically either work in a medium to large organisation as part of the front-line HR function or are as HR Manager in a small organisation. Their role will likely include handling day to day queries, providing HR advice, working on a range of HR processes, from recruitment to retirement; providing relevant HR information; working on HR changes. HR Professionals will work in a variety of environments and the Apprenticeship reflects the responsibilities in a wide range of sectors and will provide the apprentice with the CIPD L5 Associate Diploma in People Management.

Entry Requirements

Enrolment is subject to an interview with the delivery team, prior to the start of the apprenticeship course.

Open to applicants aged 18 plus, in a role managing a team, able to analyse, interpret and evaluate performance.

It is suited to individuals who:
· are aspiring to, or embarking on, a career in people management
· are working in a people practice role and wish to contribute their knowledge and skills to help shape organisational value
· are working towards or working in a people manager role

Learning Outcomes

The learner will complete the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management:

The learner is able to choose one of two pathways: Learning & Development Essentials or Wellbeing at Work

Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to completion of their apprenticeship

Objective

· This qualification builds on the CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice and is aimed at further expanding learners’ independent practice to enable them to evolve into more senior roles within organisations as people professionals.

· Learners’ work will be mainly operational with some complexity. They will contribute to the thinking around their work, analysing information to inform choices and actions. Working with and influencing others through their work will create short-term value for a wider audience. Using a framework of HR and L&D understanding, behaviours and skills development, this qualification offers opportunity for learners to transition to employment as people managers.

· This qualification extends and fosters a deeper level of understanding and application and naturally progresses learners’ expertise in people practice.

Assessment

This Apprenticeship will be assessed through seven written assignments, presentations, self-reflective journals, simulated activities, group work and role plays.
At the end of the Apprenticeship you will complete an End Point Assessment

Progression

Learners can progress to Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management

or

Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic Learning Development

Career Progression

There is the opportunity for further development through a career path within an organisation and/or through the HR Consultant/Partner apprenticeship. The apprentice can choose to stay within core HR or diversify into one of the specialist areas of HR.

Fees

Apprenticeship course fees are subject to the age of the apprentice, the payroll of the employer and the number of employees. Course fees are paid by the employer and not the apprentice. Employers who take on an apprentice aged between 16-18 years old, or with an Educational Health Care Plan, will receive an Incentive Payment to help cover their costs.
