Apprenticeships at City College Norwich
Apprenticeships provide fantastic career opportunities and allow you to get a qualification and earn money at the same time.
If you are over 16, an apprenticeship is an ideal option if you want to continue learning while working or get a head start on your career. You can be any age over 16 and still get funding too!
Apprenticeships are available in hundreds of industries
We work with around 700 employers to provide apprenticeships in hundreds of industries, from the largest employers in the country through to small, ambitious businesses that are keen to grow.
We work closely with these employers to deliver training both on and off the job. In most cases, you’ll come into college one day a week, as well as getting planned training and development with a mentor in the workplace.
What type of apprenticeships can I study?
There are four types of apprenticeship programmes. The level you do will depend on your qualifications, experience and the type of industry you will work in.
- Intermediate apprenticeships - Level 2, equivalent to five GCSE passes at grades 9 to 5.
- Advanced apprenticeships - Level 3, equivalent to two A Level passes
- Higher apprenticeships - Level 4 and 5, equivalent to foundation degree and above
- Degree apprenticeships - Level 6 and 7, equivalent to a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
