Drawing Nature - £70

This course is a two day drawing course covering all the key elements of drawing, shape, proportion, line, tone and texture through looking at plants, flowers and trees. Enjoy time both indoors looking at nature close up and (weather permitting) sketching in situ in the college garden.
The course will include:
- Observational drawing looking at shape and structure
- Capturing tone using mark-making
- Understanding negative and positive space to improve drawing accuracy
- Exploring viewpoints
- Experimenting with dry media
Course details are as follows:
Duration: 10 hours (split over two sessions) Thursday 30th July and Friday 31st July 2020
Location: City College Norwich - Ipswich Road Main Campus
For your first session please bring a set of pencils, sketchpad and charcoal. Some materials will be provided. It may also be sensible to bring a raincoat and a packed lunch if we venture outside.
No formal entry requirments. Experience of drawing is not required.
On completion of this course you will feel more confident about drawing flowers, plants and trees and have gained some knowledge and experience of using different dry media such as pencil, charcoal and chalk alongside developing your drawing skills.
No formal progression.
