Book Keeping & Accounts Level 1

This 10 week course is the first level of 2 levels available and a qualification in its own right. They are suitable for anyone looking for a qualification as the starting point for a career in book-keeping and accounts. This course runs termly (3 times a year) and is ideal if you are looking for a first qualification in book-keeping and accounts. The exam may be taken as a single subject or as a foundation for you to progress further in book-keeping. At Level 1 the aim of the qualification is to provide candidates with an introduction to book-keeping practices and to process source documents that underpin accurate record keeping.
Areas covered at Level 1 include:
The completion of financial documents such as invoices and credit notes
The recording of cash and credit transactions in books of original entry
Preparing bank reconciliation
Understanding the petty cash imprest systems and trial balances.
At Level 1 the aim of the qualification is to provide candidates with an introduction to book-keeping practices and to process source documents that underpin accurate record keeping.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
Upon successful completion of this course, you can progress to the Level 2 Book-keeping and Accounts.
