English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Part-time

A part time English course for students over 19 to improve your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
Course description: 

This ESOL course is available at five levels:

  • Entry Level 1
  • Entry Level 2
  • Entry Level 3
  • Level 1
  • Level 2

The classes develop your skills in speaking, listening, reading, writing & grammar.  We will cover a range of subjects to develop your vocabulary. 

Classes are available daytime and evening

Entry requirements: 

There are no formal requirements. You will attend an interview and do an initial assessment (test) which will decide the level suitable to you.


The qualification is a set of 3 separate assessments: 1) speaking & listening 2) reading 3) writing. 


Academic progression: 

The course is designed to enable you to progress on to further courses at the College.

Career progression: 

The ESOL qualification is widely recognised by many employers and will help with your progression onto further education, employment as well as your everyday life in the UK.
