Critical (key) workers

The government has identified that parents whose jobs are critical to the Covid-19 response may still request their children to come into college to study if they unable to care for them at home safely.

We therefore need to understand if you require us to provide your son/daughter with face to face learning experiences at college from the week commencing Monday 23rd March.

It is important to note that these learning experiences will differ from those your child normally engages in at college. They could be at different times or on different days of the week, include support from different teachers or support staff or be on different sites. We will confirm the arrangements as soon as possible.

The jobs that the government have identified as critical (key) workers, can be viewed here.

If your child is at our College and your job is within one of the key worker categories, please complete the form here and we will contact you further.

We will also need to engage with Norfolk County Council if your young person gets arranged taxis to college to ensure they can be provided.

Parents with students who have an EHCP

All parents/carers of young people with and education, health and care plan (EHCP) have been contacted to establish if you need the College to provide face to face provision as your young person cannot be safely supervised at home.

Please note that the government states that young people should be cared for at home during the present situation and only if this cannot be done safely, should the College be asked to provide additional support. You can view the government guidance is here.

If you cannot safely care for your young person at home and have not already told us your requirements, you can tell us about this by completing the form here.
