  • Knowledge and Skills for the Workplace
  • Industry Relevant Technical Knowledge
  • Skills for Successful Study
  • English, Maths and Digital Skills
  • Positive Attitudes and Behaviours

Why Our College?

Equivalent to 3 A Levels

T Levels are equivalent to three A Levels and are allocated UCAS tariff points.

Developed with industry

T Levels have been designed with leading employers and businesses. They will provide you with the skills to progress to an apprenticeship, university or skilled employment.

Academic and practical

80% will be academic and technical study at college. 20% will be practical experience gained with an employer as part of an industry placement.

Entry Requirements

Students will be required to have 5 GCSES at grade 3/D and above - this will need to include either GCSE English Language or Maths at grade 4/C or above.

Students who have not achieved grades 4/C in GCSE English Language or GCSE maths will have to continue to study these qualifications alongside the T-Level Transition Programme.

Successful interview will also be required. Please also provide a reference.

Objective

Key principles for the T Level Transition Programme
1) Provide relevant preparation for what students will experience on T Levels
2) Develop core knowledge, skills and behaviours that prepare students for progressing to level 3 study in their chosen T Level route
3) Help students to make the right decision about what to do after the programme

Assessment

This T-level Transitions programme will include a Level 2 qualification that is internally assessed through written assignments and presentations as well as externally assessed awarding body set tasks.
There will also be an assessed competency-based work placement.

Progression

Progression can be to their chosen Level 3 T-Level, employment, an apprenticeship or another course. The expectation is that students wishing to progress to the Level 3 T-Level programme will have met the 90% attendance target plus have demonstrated a good level of performance in terms of work progress, behaviour, also achieving a Merit overall for the Level 2 qualification and achieved GCSE English and Maths to the required grade.

Career Progression

The subject area can lead students into a wide variety of different occupations in a wide range of business environments. Having completed this course, the next step may be to continue their studies either in an apprenticeship or other subject areas.

Fees

If you are a UK or home fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 and over fees may be payable.
