Summary

The Phoenix Purple course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of students who are on the Autistic Spectrum and who require support to become more independent and ready to progress onto their chosen adult pathway.

The curriculum is designed with the student's unique needs in mind and aims to support students to engage with learning and to identify appropriate progression routes for the future.

Students are assessed when they join the course allocated to 1 of 7 tutor groups. They then work with their designated tutor to produce an individualised timetable from a number of mandatory and non-mandatory curriculum subjects.

All students are expected to undertake lessons in:
Planning & Progression
Communication & Confidence
Life Skills (Healthy Life Style, Budgeting and Home skills)
Personal & Social Development (Autism & Me, Citizenship & Emotional Well-being)
Work Related Study
Social & Leisure Development
English and Maths (either qualification based or skills development)
TITAN- Travel & Independence training (where required)

Students will then be able to choose a selection of non mandatory subjects to complete their timetable.
