What You Will Study

Aspire 16 Plus is a transitional programme aimed at personal and social development rather than academic attainment. Our aim is to equip you with the necessary skills to successfully progress onto your chosen pathway.

Who is eligible?

• Students who are unsure of their next steps and want to explore their options
• Students who need a softer transition to college
• Students who would benefit from a nurturing and supportive learning environment

Our timetable allows you to engage in the following subjects and activities:

• Maths and English (GCSE or Functional Skills depending on prior attainment)
• Personal and Social Development which may include Induction to college, drug and alcohol awareness, interview skills, healthy living, career planning, managing money).
• Co Curricular - social engagement, combining off-site trips and visits with access to local recreational and educational activities. Examples include cooking, sport, team-building activities, fundraising enterprises and community engagement. You will also have access to a residential trip.
• Skills Academy - access to a variety of vocational taster sessions in line with the current curriculum offer at City College Norwich.

You will be expected to engage in all elements of the programme and are not able to select individual elements to enrol on to.
