Dear Student,
Although Christmas is only just around the corner, it feels very much like we are winding up rather than winding down as we approach the end of term! There have been lots of great events taking place within college over the last few weeks, not least the terrific fundraising efforts by students and staff for Children in Need and Movember.
Looking ahead, we will soon be officially opening our new StartUp Lounge, a unique space that will be available to you to develop enterprise and entrepreneurship skills. The StartUp Lounge is not just about giving you the know-how to start up your own business or get a project off the ground, it's also about helping you to develop the qualities that will make stand you out from the crowd and impress potential employers.
Through the StartUp Lounge we will bring you lots of exciting events and challenges, like our pre-Christmas retail enterprise challenge (see below). Look out for lots more in the new year on the StartUp Lounge. We are the only college in the country to have a facility like this, so get involved and make the most of it!
Wishing you a great Christmas holiday.
Dick Palmer
