The Information Store

The Information Store is our Library and has:

• Books
• Journals
• Newspapers
• Videos
• DVDs
• CDs
• CDROMs 
• Electronic databases
• Computers
• Study space
• Photocopiers
• Helpful staff! We are here to help you.

We have 80,000 books and over 700 periodicals, including daily newspapers, plus a range of other resources including computers and CD Roms.

There is a variety of study spaces from an area of complete silence to rooms where groups can work together on projects.

There is always a member of library staff available to help you use the services and find what you need.

Where is The Information Store?
In the main college building (Norwich building), on the ground floor, opposite the central entrance to the building.

When is it open?
Term time:
Monday and Wednesday 8.15am – 7.00pm
Tuesday and Thursday 8.15am – 8.00pm
Friday 8.15am – 6.00pm
and Saturday 9.15am – 1.00pm

Out of term:
Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm

All students are entitled to join the Information Store and borrow up to 20 items at any one time. Show your enrolment receipt at the Information Store (A) desk just inside the entrance.

We also offers photocopying and binding services, and sells some stationery supplies.

Learning Support At City College Norwich
We do not just help you learn in the classroom, we provide a range of support skills to help you study too. The Informaion Store (B) located on the first floor of the Norwich Building concentrates on study support and there are more open access PCs available to use.

The Open Access computer area, located on the second floor of the Norwich Building - the C floor has a further 77 PCs available to use.

These facilities are open to all students looking to brush up on key learning skills including:

• Writing essays
• Planning assignments
• Revising
• Improving spelling
• Working on maths skills
• Help for dyslexic and dyspraxic students
• Understanding punctuation.

As well as advisers to help you on a one-to-one basis, we also have dozens of computer workstations, several group and individual study areas, and learning material you can follow at your own pace.
