Foundation Learning Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy

Foundation learning includes the following elements; Vocational learning elements to include
An introduction to the hair and beauty sector. Presenting a professional Image.
(Hairdressing); shampoo & conditioning, basic hair plaiting and twisting and styling for women.
Beauty therapy elements Introduction to skin care, hand care, applying basic make up and themed face painting.
Personal & Social Development (PSD) These include units such as dealing with problems in daily life, healthy living, managing your own money, managing social relationships, preparation for work, working as part of a team, working towards goals.
Employability skills such as career planning and making applications , contributing to a team and personal skills and Functional Skills in English, Maths & ICT.
You will complete an initial assessment at interview and a diagnostic assessment in each of the 3 functional skills, which will identify those areas where you may have development needs.
You will be awarded credit points towards achieving your qualification It is structured into 3 levels, to enable your achievement to be recognised according to the commitment shown on the course.
