BTEC HNC in Mechanical Engineering (Part Time)

Summary: 

The course is designed for Engineering Technicians working in Process Industries (e.g. Food, Oil / Gas or Manufacturing etc.).  It extends the knowledge of those who have achieved a BTEC National Engineering qualification.

For someone who has done A levels in Maths and Physics it could be used as an intermediate step towards an Engineering Degree course.  The course would be useful to such a person wanting to move into an Engineering career.

Course Length: 
Two years
Course Schedule: 
One day a week
Entry Requirements: 

BTEC NC in Mechanical Engineering or A levels in Maths and Physics.
Alternatively, appropriate experience if single modules are required.

Career Progression: 

After the course you may decide to “Top-up” the qualification to a HND.  Alternatively, you may be able to progress to a Degree course or continue your career.
