This course is for FdA graduates and HND diplomates in a related subject who wish to top-up their studies to an Honours Degree.
Our programmes are always highly relevant to current industrial practice through regular staff industry up-dating, current 'live' case studies, vistiting speakers from industry and so on. Our graduates are highly attractive to employers and quickly find appropriate, rewarding jobs. The Hotel School has an international reputation for excellence and has been recognised as a Centre of Vocational Excellence (COVE) since 2002. It is, however, small enough in terms of student numbers to offer a supportive learning environment where students are able to develop close working relationships with staff.
As the programme proceeds greater emphasis is placed on the student developing as an independent learner, refining their own approaches and challenging preconceived ideas in the later stages of the course.
A pass in a relevant HND or Foundation Degree or equivalent credits from other recognised HE courses.
Mainly through written assignments/reports; Some presentations; time constrained exercises both open and closed book and conventional essays.
