This 3 day course is designed for individuals who have a good working knowledge of AutoCAD but require more detailed knowledge of 3D design and solid modelling. The course builds on the knowledge gained from the introductory courses.

Aim

To enable delegates to explore the use of 3D graphics and their relevance to the design process to improve CAD efficiency.

Content

On completion of the course, delegates will be able to :

  • Understand the general concepts used in 3D modelling and of the 3D co-ordinate systems
  • Create 2D shapes and splines which form the basis of a 3D model
  • Use primitives in the creation of a model
  • Edit 3D models and work in a 3D co-ordinate system
  • Use the concept of multi-viewprts to produce plots of 3D models which include detail, sectional and different scaled views

On completion of the course, delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
